What Spent So Far is
Spent So Far works out what you've spent this month from the bank and card accounts you connect through SimpleFIN. It runs in your web browser. It's free during early access, and we'll tell you before that changes.
Your account
- Use an email address you can get to, and keep your password to yourself.
- An account is for one person.
- You need to be at least 18 to create an account.
- We may suspend or close an account that's used to attack, overload or misuse the service.
- You can delete your account whenever you like, in Settings.
Your data
Your bank data is stored in your browser, not with us; the privacy page has the details. Keeping it safe is up to you and your device. If you clear your browser's data, it's gone, and we can't recover it because we never had a copy.
SimpleFIN
SimpleFIN Bridge is a separate service with its own terms and fees, which you pay to SimpleFIN. We don't run it, and we can't fix it when it's down or sends wrong data.
Some banks' account agreements restrict sharing account access with third-party services, and may limit their fraud protection if you do. Check your bank's terms before you connect. Connecting is your choice and your responsibility. Spent So Far only ever reads data; it can't move money.
The numbers
Spent So Far doesn't give financial, tax, accounting or legal advice. Its totals depend on what your bank reports through SimpleFIN, which can be late, incomplete or wrong, and on how you've set things up. Check anything important against your statements. Decisions you make with its numbers are yours.
Changes
Spent So Far is early and will change. We may add or remove features, pause the service or stop it. Before we stop it, the app will say so, so you have time to look at your numbers one last time. If these terms change, the date at the top changes too.
Warranty and liability
You use Spent So Far at your own risk. It's provided as it is and as available, without warranties of any kind, including that it will be accurate, always available, or free of errors or data loss.
Spent So Far is a free service. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss or damage that comes from using it, being unable to use it, or relying on its numbers, and we won't pay damages or compensation of any kind. You agree you won't be owed any money from us for using it.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
If a court decides part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
