How the receipt adds up
Paying a card bill isn't spending
The things you bought with the card already count, so paying the bill doesn't count them again. Money you move to savings or between your own accounts is left out too.
Paybacks and big one-offs
If a friend pays you back for dinner, you can take that off. If you bought something big this month, like a couch, mark it so this month still compares fairly with the others.
The categories always add up to the total
And you can check any line against your bank.

SimpleFIN Bridge is a separate service you subscribe to yourself: $15 a year or $1.50 a month, paid to SimpleFIN, not to us. It works with many US and Canadian banks and covers up to 25 banks and cards.

Open Spent So Far in your browser or from your phone's home screen. This month's total is at the top, with the categories that add up to it underneath.
Your transactions are stored only in your browser. Our servers never receive them.
You connect your banks at SimpleFIN, so we never see your bank password. SimpleFIN's access is read-only, which means it can't move money.

Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It runs in your web browser, and you can add it to your phone's home screen so it opens like an app.
Which banks does it work with?
The ones SimpleFIN Bridge can connect to, which include many banks and cards in the US and Canada. One SimpleFIN subscription covers up to 25 of them.
How far back does it go?
SimpleFIN gives it your last 90 days when you first connect. After that, Spent So Far keeps your history in your browser, so it gets longer every month.
What doesn't it do?
It doesn't do budgets, goals, net worth or investment tracking. It answers one question: how much did I spend this month?
What will it cost?
It's free during early access. We haven't decided on a price for after that. SimpleFIN's fee is separate, and you pay it to SimpleFIN.
